A pressurized submarine-like capsule sits below a 200+ foot helium and hot-air balloon. This one of a kind balloon was built for non-stop circumnavigation of the globe in the 1990s. It is capable of extended flight distances, handling altitude and extreme cold weather.

And it has never been flown.​

Jesse will be travelling to the stark environment of Greenland. Above the Arctic Circle, the very best modern outdoor equipment on earth will be tested and compared over a full 12-month cycle to ancient methods of survival, from shelter building to harvesting traditional foods. Local mentors from Greenland will share their vast amount of soon-to-be-lost knowledge, stored within the elder communities.

Jesse Osborn is a motivational speaker who will energize and inspire your audience with his story of resilience and forgiveness. Your audience will leave feeling empowered to face fears having revealed the power of incremental progress and finding a path to inner peace.

He recently founded Get Uncomfortable, a non-profit organization focused on explorations and education with the goal to inspire others to accomplish the impossible.​

​

This follows a lifetime of acquiring extensive skills and knowledge in sailing, navigation, entrepreneurship, captaining, and mechanical work. He now teaches ocean sailing courses to students from around the globe as an IYT certified instructor. â€‹

In 2024, he ventured into the world of ballooning. He is currently preparing the unique UNICEF Flyer balloon and capsule for flight and planning an expedition from Alaska’s North Slope to northwestern Greenland, passing over the geographic North Pole.
